A Red Tent Series: Women’s Self-Care Part 3April 28, 2016
If you haven’t been following along until today’s post, the subject has been about our own Red Tent‘s. I’ve talked a little about grounding and cleansing so far. Today we will be delving a bit into LOVING ourselves.
When I talk about self-love, I’m referring to doing something nice for your body, mind, and spirit! One way I’ve been trying to love myself is to feed myself more nourishing, whole, clean foods. Not only does it affect the body, it gives the mind and spirit what it needs with the vitamins and minerals they crave as well.
Here’s my favorite “recipe” at the moment:
Strawberry Spinach Salad
Toss together the following:
Fresh Spinach Leaves (the stems are the sweetest part, so leave them on!)
Sprinkled Feta Cheese
A mix of Red Wine Vinegar and Olive Oil
Here are several other loving ideas:
- Get a massage
- Receive a Reiki treatment
- Pick or buy flowers for yourself
- Go for a hike in a quiet area
- Beautifying with natural oils or body creams, painting your nails, braiding your hair, or experimenting with a little makeup
